People Manager

What do you do?

I’m Arbury’s People Manager – I’m responsible for looking after the recruitment, onboarding and engagement of our nearly 300 employees. My day-to-day job can vary greatly, from producing an offer letter for a new starter to planning our future people strategy alongside the Senior Leadership of the business. No two days are the same – I love my job and I love the people I work with.

Tell us about your journey with Arbury.

I joined Arbury in January 2022, at a time of huge transformation for the business and with the business emerging from the pandemic. It’s been a great year to join and I’ve had the opportunity to get involved in many people projects in the last eight months. 2023 will allow for even more people-focused projects – continuing to put our people at the heart of everything we do, and ensuring a fully engaged workforce with excellent career and learning opportunities throughout the business.

What made you join Arbury?

For me, I joined Arbury for two reasons.

  1. The people – the business is managed in such an entrepreneurial, people-focused way. People are at the heart of the business, and the more we can talk about the people who work here, the better.

  2. The opportunity to make a difference and deliver change with a relatively blank canvas – to be able to work with the business on onboarding, recruitment and retention strategies was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.

What are your future goals within Arbury?

My role is to ensure that our people are highly engaged and working in a great environment. We have some awesome projects ahead of us and if I can continue to be a part of a business with a highly engaged function of well-trained high performers, that’s the most important thing for me. We know our industry is going through huge changes at the moment with electrification, flexible working and future challenges, but we need to ensure our people strategy is ahead of the curve to continue to attract the best to #TeamArbury.
